Flapjack Friday Faves [11.01]

It’s finally November!  Despite October being one of my favorite months, I’m really glad it’s over this year.  It brought a lot of work.  Now I can prep for Thanksgiving, in my opinion,  one of the best holidays  Here’s my FFF for today.  Enjoy and be informed, friends!

apples

Do you know what your favorite apple says about you?  Click here to find out.

I’m not sure I have a favorite apple, as I like them all.  If I had to choose, maybe Gala….  The Granny Smith description fits my husband and daughter and I do believe it’s their fave.  I don’t know if my son has ever eaten a Winesap, but the description is fairly accurate of his personality.  Black coffee, he read some Dostoevsky this summer [not because he had to] and he does have a record collection.  But he has an iPhone and a Mac Book, so he’s not suspicious of technological advances.  Or he fakes it well.van Gogh

Are you a Thomas Kincade fan?  I like art.  I’ve heard the critics.  Is Thomas Kincade a true artist?  I personally prefer a van Gogh print to TK, but I have a bit of a crush on Vincent.  Apparently I’m not the only one:

Vincent van Gogh might be my boyfriend

Anyway, I had to share this:

war on kinkaidTaken from Relevant Magazine:  Artist Jeff Bennett has released a new series titled Wars on Kincade, which features pieces that combine scenes from Star Wars and original paintings from the late Thomas Kincade. Obviously, the results are amazing …

I just finished reading  The Fault in Our Stars.  The author, John Green, creates videos.  Here’s one I recently came across, dealing with depression, adversity, and working things out:

One of the highlights and lowlights of my week…..  I finished watching The Central Park Five with my husband, which was definitely a lowlight.  Oh my gosh, talk about injustice.  Yet a highlight came when I was “retweeted” by Raymond Santana, once of the actual five!  "The Central Park Five" New York Screening

I like to eat.  I like to cook.  I just plain like food.  Here’s an encouraging article about something I think would be wonderful to be involved in:

Trader Joe’s Ex-President To Turn Expired Food Into Cheap Meals

But again, I’m one of those, “let’s make something out of trash people.”  Which reminds me, how about checking out my Etsy store?  Just click below:

Hope you have a great weekend.  Happy falling leaves.
