TGIF and all that jazz. Hope your November is off to a good start. It is below freezing outside this morning in central Kentucky, which is colder than I prefer. But the weather gods didn’t ask me for input. [No, I do not really believe in nor worship weather gods.]
Here’s a few interesting [to me] tidbits to end the work week:
I’m a Norman Rockwell fan. My husband and I have a NR print hanging in our bedroom. Apparently Norman’s life wasn’t as idyllic as his paintings sometimes seemed. Click below.
Behind Norman Rockwell
Click below to see a larger version of the Good Life Project “Living Creed”. Pretty good stuff to think about.
The above is courtesy of Jonathan Fields. I was inspired by his Do It Because It’s What You’re Here To Do piece, as I find most of what of the work I enjoy the most doesn’t offer me a great deal of worldly success or monetary reward.
Daughter Allie and I read The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak. We both enjoy historic fiction. The book is of the young adult fiction genre. It takes place in Germany during WWII, which, in case you didn’t know was a bit of a tumultuous time and place to be living. And the heroine’s name is Liesel, which is my favorite female German name. The book has been made into a movie.
My husband Chip, music guru that he is, recently introduced me to The Mowgli’s. Here’s a fun Friday song entitled San Francisco. Feel the love. ♪♫♪♫♪♫
Happy weekend!
